Bach flower remedies are used in healthcare worldwide. They constitute a form of energy therapy developed by Dr. Edward Bach in the early 20th century.
Edward Bach was an English physician and medium. He was highly sensitive and loved long walks in nature. During his lifetime, he developed 39 Bach flower remedies. Bach flower remedies are vibrational remedies made of spring water and flower extracts that act on an individual's psycho-emotional state or personality.
Bach flower remedies act on the subtle bodies of the multidimensional energy structure of the human being. While conventional medicine acts on the physical plane, Bach flower remedies have an effect on the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies of a human being. These subtle energy bodies, which together form the human aura, play an important role in an individual's psycho-emotional state and personality.
According to Edward Bach, illness reflects the imbalance between the physical personality and the Higher Self. Bach's vibrational remedies act on the energetic imbalances of the subtle bodies, thus allowing the personality to better harmonize with its Higher Self and regain inner harmony.
Dr. Bach divided his 39 remedies into seven different groups based on specific emotional and mental symptoms and personality traits. Here are three commonly used Bach flower remedies:
1. White Chestnut : White Chestnut is beneficial in cases of worry, obsessions and repetitive thoughts.
2. Star of Bethlehem : Star of Bethlehem is used for shocks and to overcome sadness.
3. Rescue Remedy : Rescue Remedy is a blend of five different Bach flowers, selected by Edward Bach (Clematis, Impatiens, Cherry Plum, Star of Bethlehem and Rock Rose). It is used in cases of acute stress.
